Thankful Thursday

Welcome to Bridge-ing the Gap! I am so glad you are here. The LORD was impressing on my heart to carve out a section on my blog to share what I am thankful for. I started it on a Thursday and decided it would be called Thankful Thursday blog posts. It seemed fitting considering this began in November, the month we celebrate Thanksgiving in the USA.

I have so much to be thankful for that I decided to share each week of the year. God is such a loving and wonderful God that gives His people so many reasons to be thankful. I would like to share a couple of my favorite scriptures on being thankful.

PSALM 92:1-4
1 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto Thy name, O Most High:
2 To shew forth Thy lovingkindness in the morning, and Thy faithfulness every night,
3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.
4 For Thou, LORD, hast made me glad through Thy work: I will triumph in the works of Thy hands.

PSALM 100: 1-5
1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before His presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the LORD He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people; and the sheep of His pasture.
4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.
5 For the LORD is good; and His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations.

God is so good to His people. Psalm 68:19 says "Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah." So as He daily loads us up with benefits, let's count our blessings together. I would love to read about the great things God is doing for you in the comments below each Thankful Thursday post. If you know someone that would enjoy sharing in Thankful Thursdays, feel free to share the link with them.

Each week I will share a way I creatively journal my faith and gratitude. I pray my blog is a place of encouragement and inspiration. May something I share be strength for your journey and light for your way.

God bless you!
